Because of San Miguel’s geographical location as well as excellent year-round sunshine, this region has some of the best solar energy in the world. Very few locations have better potential for efficient cost-effective solar installations to heat water or produce electricity. It is clear that as world demand for petroleum resources exceeds supply, the economic well being of our families and our communities will increasingly depend on solar technology. What You Can Do As private citizens we need to take responsibility for our future by using renewable energy resources, such as solar, wind and hydro power. Individuals all around the world are taking the boundless resource of solar energy more seriously as the finite supply of fossil fuels dwindle. Everyone has heard that the world is running out of petroleum, but too few of us seem to understand the implications for the lives of our children and their children. We just have not grasped how quickly this crisis is unfolding. By investing in renewable energy we can act as responsible citizens of this planet. |
